Hey man!
Good work tracking down and keeping up with the memory, the myth, the metamorphosis, etc.
It's nice to see someone caring enough to keep something alive that, to me, to Barbara, and to everyone involved, was truly a labor of love.
Throughout all our many changes with - and against - the times, something lasting and timeless was always our underlying objective.
Thank you for giving sustainence to - and becoming part of - the continuing saga!
After the success of "Greetings From...", the Rhythm Machine was allegedly insured for $1,000,000 (USD).
Timbuk3 appeared as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live". They played "Hairstyles and Attitudes" and "Just Another Movie".
"Reckless Driver" was written because the Department of Motor Vehicles in Texas wanted Timbuk3 to do a public service message asking Texans to drive safely. The DMV suggested something like "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Drive Safely", but Timbuk3 wrote "Reckless Driver" instead!
While touring for "Big Shot In The Dark", BarbaraK played a guitar that was adorned with a mud flap girl.
BarbaraK played the character "Ol' Mom" in the film "Crime Wave" (1985). The video release is titled "The Big Crime Wave".
Timbuk3 appeared in the film "D.O.A" (1988). They played "Too Much Sex, Not Enough Affection" in a bar scene.
